Bikes for Tykes of Colorado Inc. is a non profit organization (501c3) with a simple mission...  Provide as many new bicycles to children in the Denver area who would not otherwise be afforded the opportunity many of us have experienced. 

Bikes provide children with pride, freedom, and responsibility to name a few.  BFT of Colorado will work with private donors, local business and socially minded organizations to ensure the bikes get to the right people, but we will not just "give them away."  We at BFT of Colorado feel it is important for children to feel as if they have earned their bike.  For this reason, there will be periodic "contests" which identified kids will be entered in to - of course everyone wins!

As a community we can all make a difference.  For approximately $50.00 we can provide a new bicycle and helmet to a child right here in our local community but we cannot do it without your help.

We are not competing with similar organizations, in reality we are nothing more than a complimentary organization who will increase the number of bicycles which are distributed.  Most organizations provide bicycles around Christmas time and although a new bike makes a Christmas special, we are looking to fill the gaps in the year and do our distribution during the months which are more conducive to actually using them (i.e. Spring through Fall).
